Novel acceleration techniques

EuCARD² brings a global view to particle accelerator research, coordinating a consortium of 40 accelerator laboratories, technology institutes, universities and industry to jointly address common challenges for future generation of accelerators is structurated in 13 Work Packages that covered the many aspects of accelerators research and developments.

In addition to the WP7 devoted to Networking activitives on novel acceletors, ANAC² is a Joint Research Activities devoted on novel acceleration techniques. The 4-year project starts on 1st May 2013.

WP 13. Participants

Anac2 is composed of 8 contractors: CNRS, DESY, UDUS, HZDR, INFN, LUND, STRATH, UCL and one partner CERN / AWAKE that covered 4 tasks:

  • 13.1 Coordination and Communication (V. Malka LOA),
  • 13.2 High brightness electron beam (O. Lundh LLC),
  • 13.3 Ultra-fast accelerator science (H. Schlarb, DESY),
  • 13.4 Modulation of long plasmas (M. Wing UCL).
EuCARD-2 is co-funded by the partners and the European Commission under Capacities 7th Framework Programme, Grant Agreement 312453.
